Camp school on Læsø

Læsø is made for a camp school for many different reasons:

First of all, there is a lot to take in with both completely unique nature and an exciting cultural heritage with salt and seaweed roofs, which is on its way to becoming a UNESCO World Heritage Site
It is also a very safe place, where everyone helps each other, and the hospitality is great - also towards curious school children...
Læsø is also easy to get around - on a bike the island is a gem; flat as a pancake, safe cycle path across the entire island, and lots of small roads without significant traffic. And remember: the bike is included in the price!

Læsø Camping & Hytteby as a base

Læsø Camping and Hytteby is the perfect place to be at camp school. Here are a handful of reasons to choose us as the host for your camp school:

You live in cozy 4-6 person cabins, complete with all kitchen equipment - most cabins have their own bath and toilet
We have 27 cabins and easily accommodate groups and classes of up to 100 people.

Facilities

Bilv accommodated in 4-6 person cabins, complete with crockery, cooking utensils, refrigerator, hob, coffee maker, duvets, pillows, cold and hot water, bed linen must be brought.

On the square:
Common rooms, fire cabin, fire pit, communal kitchen, playground, kiosk, bicycle rental and of course free WiFi.

Free train and ferry!

Free transport all the way to Læsø for camp schools with DSB Skolerejser... REMEMBER: There is free travel for schools right up to your arrival at Læsø - apply through DSB Skolerejser at least 10 weeks before the day of departure.

Free bus on Læsø!

Route 840 runs from Vesterø at the ferry port via Byrum and to Østerby, and it is completely free. If you are more than 20, contact frp@ditobus.dk

Easy shopping and transport

Purchases can be made in several places on the island; for example in Vesterø, which is within cycling or walking distance, there is Dagli'-Brugsen and a fishmonger. It is perfectly possible to pre-order goods from Dagli'Brugsen and have them delivered to the square.

The practical

We have many years of experience with camp schools - both from primary schools, free schools, after-schools and other groups. We are happy to help with all practical matters. Specifically, we are happy to pick up the luggage at the ferry and also deliver it at the ferry on departure. Remember to bring your own bicycle helmet. Call and hear more:

The prices for camp school stays at Læsø Camping and Hytteby and note: the price includes one bicycle per person. person: But min. 15 people

Accommodation in cabins:
DKK 225 per person and per accommodation, however excl. linen.

Accommodation in cabins PLUS meals:
In collaboration with one of our local eateries, a large breakfast is delivered (and packed lunches can be prepared from here) and dinner is also served.
